➕ Addition with Pictures

✨ What is Addition? ✨

Addition means putting groups together to find the total. For example: 3 + 2 = 5 (3 apples + 2 apples = 5 apples).

🎨 Our tool uses Auto mode (random problems) by default. You can also switch to Manual mode to choose your own numbers. Watch the animated groups!

📚 Easy Tricks to Learn Addition

🧸 Counting On: Start with the bigger number, then count up. 5+2: "5...6,7" → answer 7.
📏 Number Line: Draw a line, start at first number, jump forward the second number.
🍎 Use real objects: Combine blocks, buttons, or snacks to see the total.
🎲 Dice games: Roll two dice and add the dots – fast daily practice.
📖 Word stories: "You have 6 candies, get 3 more. How many?"
🔁 Fact families: 4+3=7, 3+4=7, 7-4=3, 7-3=4 – builds number sense.
➕ Adding 0 or 1: Any number +0 = itself; +1 = next number. Easy wins!
🎯 Doubles & near doubles: 4+4=8, then 4+5=9 (doubles +1).

👩‍🏫 Tips for Parents & Teachers

🌟 Start concrete, then visual, then abstract: Use real beans → pictures → numbers.
🧸 Language matters: Say "plus", "add", "in all", "total" to build vocabulary.
🖼️ Always pair numbers with pictures: Our visual tool does exactly that.
🏆 Celebrate small wins: Stickers or praise after correct answers.
🎭 Create word problems from daily life: "You had 7 pencils, found 2 more. How many?"
🔄 Use both auto and manual modes: Auto builds fluency, manual gives control.
