➖ Subtraction with Pictures ✨
✨ What is Subtraction? ✨
Subtraction means taking away some objects from a group. You start with a number, remove some, and see how many are left.
For example: 5 – 2 = 3 means you have 5 apples, you eat 2, and 3 remain.
🧸 The symbol – means "minus" or "take away". Default mode is AUTO – random problems every time!
📸 Picture Examples (1–10)
🎯 Try it yourself! (Auto mode by default)
🤖 Auto Mode active: each time you click "New Problem", a random subtraction appears.

⭐ Auto mode = random fun. Manual mode = you choose numbers. Both show visual take‑away!
📚 Tips to Study Subtraction (for Kids)
🍎 Use everyday objects: Count grapes, toys, or stickers. "Take away 3 from 8" – then count what's left.
✏️ Draw and cross out: Draw 9 stars, cross out 4. The uncrossed stars are the answer.
🎲 Play dice games: Roll two dice, subtract the smaller from the larger. Fun and fast!
💡 Sing subtraction songs: "5 little ducks went out one day..." reinforces taking away.
🔁 Practice daily (5 min): Short, happy sessions build confidence.
📈 Use Auto mode often: Random problems prevent memorization and build true understanding.
👩🏫 Tips to Teach Subtraction (for Parents & Teachers)
🌟 Start concrete, then visual, then abstract: Use real beans → pictures → numbers.
🧸 Language matters: Say "take away", "minus", "difference", "less than" to build vocabulary.
🖼️ Always pair number sentences with pictures: Our examples grid + interactive tool do exactly that.
🏆 Celebrate small wins: Stickers or praise after correct answers.
🎭 Create word problems from daily life: "You had 7 cookies, ate 2. How many left?"
🔄 Use both auto and manual modes: Auto builds fluency, manual gives control.
