The letter B (small b) is called “B” and usually makes the sound “Buh”. Common first words are Ball, Bear, Banana.
Say the name first, then the sound, then a word: “B… B for Ball”. Ask your child to repeat it, find something at home that starts with B, and then trace the letter. Read more in our guide to teaching the alphabet.
