The letter C (small c) is called “C” and usually makes the sound “Cuh”. Common first words are Cat, Car, Cake.
Say the name first, then the sound, then a word: “C… C for Cat”. Ask your child to repeat it, find something at home that starts with C, and then trace the letter. Read more in our guide to teaching the alphabet.
