The letter E (small e) is called “E” and usually makes the sound “Eh”. Common first words are Elephant, Egg, Eagle.
Say the name first, then the sound, then a word: “E… E for Elephant”. Ask your child to repeat it, find something at home that starts with E, and then trace the letter. Read more in our guide to teaching the alphabet.
