The letter N (small n) is called “N” and usually makes the sound “Nnn”. Common first words are Nest, Nose, Nut.
Say the name first, then the sound, then a word: “N… N for Nest”. Ask your child to repeat it, find something at home that starts with N, and then trace the letter. Read more in our guide to teaching the alphabet.
